Vietnam’s Ministry of Planning and Development wants to improve the capacities of Small and Growing Businesses (SGBs) so that they can participate more robustly in domestic and global supply chains. On August 24, USAID organized a roundtable discussion between leaders of women-owned SGBs in the Mekong Delta and visiting US Government officials Alex Carnes and Paul Grove to discuss the challenges businesses face due to climate change.
USAID support to improve SGBs’ business skills and diversify their distribution channels increases opportunities to connect to domestic and global buyers. This assistance to the private sector underscores USAID’s commitment to support Vietnam’s goal to become an upper-middle income country by 2030.
