Overview
This chapter sets forth the authority, responsibilities, and procedures under which the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) manages its Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) identifies six essential elements necessary to create and maintain the minimum requirements for a model EEO program, pursuant to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq., and Section 501 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, 29 U.S.C. § 791, the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act of 2008 (Pub. L. 110-325), and the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, 42 U.S.C. § 2000gg-1.
