Since childhood, Dr. Carine Codo has been passionate about increasing access to lifesaving medicines throughout her home country of Cote d’Ivoire. Today, with support from the USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program, Dr. Codo oversees the coordination and delivery of more than 300 different medications and health commodities from the capital of Abidjan to the more than 700 public health facilities across the country.

Pregnant with her first child and determined to diversify the children’s dolls available in her home country of Côte d’Ivoire, Sara Coulibaly designed a line of dark-skinned dolls for African children to see themselves represented in.
