This chapter provides the policy directives and required procedures that govern time-in-class (TIC) Limitations for career Foreign Service (FS) and Senior Foreign Service (SFS) officers and Limited Career Extensions (LCEs) for Senior Foreign Service officers, in accordance with section 607 of the Foreign Service Act, as amended (22 USC sec. 4007).
