Fall 2016 Public Meeting: Side Event at the 2016 World Food Prize
"Metrics for Accountability: Tracking Progress and Identifying Data Gaps in Development Investments"
The Board for International Food and Agricultural Development held a public meeting on Wednesday, October 12th, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm CDT at the Des Moines Marriott Hotel, Des Moines, Iowa. This session featured the announcement of the BIFAD Scientific Award for Excellence in a Feed the Future Innovation Lab and a session entitled “Metrics for Accountability: Tracking Progress and Identifying Gaps in Development Investments”. The purpose of the session was to examine results frameworks, assumptions, evidence, and M&E systems as a basis for tracking progress and learning, and adjusting investments towards achieving the 2030 development goals. The session included a presentation of the Feed the Future results framework, progress and learnings as well as the perspectives from representatives of other global investors. There was a public comment period from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm CDT.
