Emily Coffman Krunic
Emily Coffman Krunic assumed the role of Mission Director for USAID/Bosnia and Herzegovina in October 2024 after a year as the Deputy Mission Director. She previously served in Amman as one of the Deputy Mission Directors for USAID/Jordan as well as the Democracy, Rights and Governance Office Director.
Over the course of her 27 year international development career, Ms. Coffman Krunic’s USAID overseas assignments have also included East Africa Regional Platform (Kenya), Afghanistan, Rwanda and Liberia primarily in the Democracy, Rights, and Governance field. She also held positions in Washington, DC as a Human Rights Advisor and the Eligible Family Member Initiatives Officer.
Prior to joining USAID, Ms. Coffman Krunic worked with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina on media development and election support and was Chief of Party for two USAID projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina focused on conflict resolution and human and institutional capacity development. She also worked with the International Rescue Committee on advocacy efforts around global refugee issues.
Emily is originally from Florida and has a M.A. from American University in International Peace and Conflict resolution.
