The 2024 Practitioners Guide is an update of the 2015 Field Guide. Intended for staff at missions and in Washington, D.C., the updated guide incorporates mental health considerations related to survivors of mass violence, ensures an emphasis on trauma-informed programming, and includes language on the role of digital media (which was still nascent in 2015) as both an accelerator and mitigator of mass atrocities. In addition, the Guide includes more than 30 pages of programmatic examples that missions can use to inform their atrocity prevention efforts.
