In West Africa, USAID provided environmental advisory services to improve the design of a project under the USAID co-funded Securing Water for Food (SWFF) program. SkyFox Ltd., a SWFF awardee, is producing fish in rehabilitated aquaculture ponds and newly installed aboveground geotextile tanks, and re-using the water from both to irrigate adjacent agricultural fields, thus producing more food with less water.
