How can your company help fight COVID-19 in the Philippnes?

Depending on the specific intervention, private sector assistance could take the form of: 

  • Expertise and skill sets (e.g., supply chain, data analytics, marketing/communications, technology and innovation) 
  • Use of company assets (e.g., locations for vaccinations, equipment)  
  • Collaboration with and/or funding of local or international organizations undertaking COVID response programs 
  • Provision of funding or donated items to government entities

Country-Specific Needs

Increasing Vaccine Access & Delivery

Logistics, Warehousing, and Infrastructure 

  • Support outsourcing of, or provide donations for, cold-chain maintenance supplies and equipment, especially for remote/rural areas
  • Support upgrading the vaccine research and development facility of the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine through funding or donation of technology

Vaccine Distribution, Planning, and Sites of Delivery 

  • Provide after-hours on-site vaccine delivery in the workplace and/or in other public venues
  • Provide expertise and support for outsourcing ultra-cold chain vaccine delivery to third-party logistic providers, especially for remote/rural areas

Staffing, Training, and Administration

  • Support development and dissemination of COVID-19 online trainings for private healthcare providers

Data and Monitoring

  • Provide support to strengthen the interoperability between the health and lab management information systems 
  • Improve IT infrastructure in remote/rural areas

Incentives and Messaging

  • Design, generate, and/or distribute COVID-19 messaging and communications, through media channels that combat misinformation
  • Support national vaccination and health campaigns

Expanding Availability of Tests, Therapeutics, and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Supply Availability and Logistics

  • Support procurement of molecular diagnostic testing reagents and strengthening of genomic sequencing capacity 
  • Provide expertise to strengthen public hospital testing and reporting capabilities
  • Support outsourcing of, or provide donation for, bulk liquid oxygen and oxygen supplies for COVID-referral hospitals
  • Provide support to local manufacturers with production of standard and quality PPE

Staffing, Training, and Administration

  • Work with medical, nursing, and respiratory care associations to provide continuous learning trainings and on-site mentoring for frontline workers

Other

  • Provide expertise to COVID-19 referral hospitals on healthcare waste management
