Powering Agriculture’s achievements changed lives in smallholder farming communities across four continents. They were a product of the work of many entities, including its innovators, partners, and the Investment Alliance.

  • 77 clean energy solutions developed (technologies and/or business models)
  • 11,372 kilowatts of clean energy generation capacity installed
  • 15,723 clean energy systems deployed through Africa, Asia/Pacific, Latin America, and the Middle East
  • 263,167 beneficiaries reached, such as farmers, households, and agribusinesses, including 31,836 women
  • $105 million total funding mobilized
  • 17,509 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent reduction, as a result of innovators’ field activities
  • 26,754 people trained on the operation and maintenance of clean energy systems and their benefits, including 2,798 women
  • 56,006 people increased their knowledge of clean energy technologies through demonstrations as a result of Powering Agriculture support, including 16,264 women
  • 2,083 professionals provided services to clean energy system users, including 503 women
