Our Work

USAID and India work together to integrate climate-resilient practices into health systems, strengthen water and sanitation infrastructure, and support disaster response through the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure.  These efforts improve community resilience, energy security, and critical infrastructure, focusing on vulnerable populations and natural hazard-prone regions while sharing expertise globally.

Our Impact

USAID’s partnership with India is enhancing infrastructure resilience globally.  USAID partnered with the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure to release the Global Infrastructure Risk Model and Resilience Index and launch the CDRI Higher Education Partnership.  USAID is also partnering with India to bolster India’s domestic climate resilience, with a focus combating climate-induced water insecurity and proactively equipping health facilities with climate-smart infrastructure.
