Supported the efforts of the Government of Ethiopia in achieving the Millennium Development Goals on health:
- Constructed 22 new health centers, a national blood bank, and 10 pharmaceutical warehouses
- Renovated 10 existing facilities
- Provided safe drinking water to communities and schools near health centers
- Built health centers that each provide services to 25,000 people and the national blood bank that services 26 million people, which is one quarter of the total population
Improved understanding of quality control, schedule, and cost:
- Trained A&E services contractor staff in quality assurance
- Trained local communities (WASHCO) to manage water
- Trained health center staff to use equipment
- Resulted in the Ministry of Health revising and improving their health center design
