The program is a faith-based, civil society-led cohesion and election oversight program which will improve accountability and transparency in electoral and democratic processes; and enhance citizen resilience against political manipulation.
OUR WORK
- Enhance cohesion, peace, transparency, and accountability in the electoral process by deploying thematic and long-term observers. Support a parallel voter tabulation exercise for the presidential elections on election day.
- Facilitate community-led advocacy, messaging and outreach initiatives using the faith-based structures.
- Strengthen the existing structures of the Kenya National Human Rights Commission to enhance monitoring of human rights violations, election-related and gender-based violence.
- Promote agenda-setting for issue-based campaigns and empower citizens especially the youth (including young girls) to resist political incitement and elite manipulation.
