USAID ELEVATE VOICE YAKE

USAID Elevate Voice Yake’s primary goal is combat sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) by amplifying the voices and aspirations of adolescent girls and women to enable them to exercise their right to a dignified and meaningful life. The activity will integrate efforts of community members, government, private sector, and civil society in Kiambu, Kwale, and Meru counties.
USAID Elevate Voice Yake is implemented by a consortium led by the Centre for Rights Education and Awareness (CREAW-Kenya), and including Young Women Christian Association of Kenya (YWCA Kenya) and Life-Skills Promoters (LISP)
Objectives of USAID Elevate Voice Yake are to:
●   Promote positive norms, values, attitudes, and practices that make SGBV unacceptable.
●  Strengthen implementation of and accountability for policies that protect women and adolescent girls from SGBV.
●  Increase awareness of existing mechanisms and their budget allocations across civil society, the private sector, and county governments to prevent exploitation and abuse.
