Pristina, July 27, 2021 – Today, Ms. Zeinah Salahi was sworn in as USAID Kosovo Mission Director at a ceremony officiated by USAID Administrator Samanta Power. The U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo Phillip S. Kosnett, USAID acting Assistant Administrator for Europe and Eurasia Margot Ellis, USAID staff, and friends and family participated in the online ceremony.
In her remarks, Administrator Power stated, “Under Zeinah’s leadership, USAID will continue to support civil society and community-based organizations to better represent the needs of Kosovo’s citizens and work with the government to implement citizen-responsive laws and policies.”
Ambassador Kosnett spoke highly of Ms. Salahi’s contributions during her tenure in Kosovo as Deputy Mission Director, and highlighted USAID’s role in Kosovo’s development. He added that under Ms. Zeinah’s leadership he sees a bright future for USAID Kosovo.
