USAID envisions a world where all women, newborns, and children survive, are healthy, and are able to develop and reach their full potential, contributing to the development of their communities and countries. USAID's maternal and child survival programs are focused on 25 countries with the highest need, demonstrable commitment to achieving sustainable and efficient program outcomes, and the greatest potential to leverage U.S. government programs and platforms. These 25 countries account for more than 70% of maternal and child deaths, and this fact sheet features a country specific snapshot of our collective efforts to address maternal and child survival.
