More than 1.5 million Venezuelans are currently living in Peru with the intention of staying in the country. However, there are barriers that prevent their socioeconomic integration and access to protection systems. Because of this, USAID supports activities that facilitate the integration of Venezuelan migrants and refugees, as well as local populations. This activity, implemented by the local non-governmental organization CEDRO, focuses mainly on the cities of Lima, Ica and Chiclayo, where the largest proportion of Venezuelan immigrants resides, though the activity has a national scope.
