On April 15, USAID met with Jim Andrew, PepsiCo’s U.S.-based Chief Sustainability Officer, to discuss PepsiCo’s clean energy transition in Vietnam. This follows PepsiCo’s March 2024 announced plan to invest $400 billion in new manufacturing facilities in Vietnam which will be powered by sustainable energy sources.
USAID will work with PepsiCo to increase the impact of this investment and to align it with Vietnam’s regulations and priorities, supporting Vietnam and private sector investors to reach their sustainable development and clean energy goals.
