USAID is partnering with leading Vietnamese corporations to accelerate Vietnam’s clean energy transition. Essential to the deployment of advanced clean energy systems and solutions is an effective backbone of ICT infrastructure. In May, USAID’s Vietnam Low Emission Energy Program II (V-LEEP II) worked with FPT Corporation, one of Vietnam’s leading ICT companies, and its subsidiary FPT Software, to build knowledge and skills on net-zero strategy and clean energy deployment options for 100 company staff. The training, which focused on climate change mitigation and adaptation, net-zero commitments, greenhouse gas emissions, industrial decarbonization, and renewable energy sources, enhanced participants’ understanding of opportunities to transition to low-emission energy use and drive private investment in advanced energy systems and solutions.

USAID’s assistance helps to mobilize private investment in Vietnam’s clean energy transition, advancing the country’s sustainable development and net-zero emissions by 2050 goals.
