Rehabilitation services are crucial for persons with disabilities in improving their health conditions and facilitating their participation in education, employment, and social inclusion. From July 4 to 9, multidisciplinary teams supported by USAID screened persons with disabilities in Quang Nam and Thua Thien-Hue provinces and identified roughly 1,000 individuals who will receive rehabilitation services. This includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, nursing care, assistive devices support, and independent living counseling. Persons with disabilities and their families, health care workers, and local authorities have highly appreciated this support from USAID.
USAID’s support helps improve the quality of and accessibility to rehabilitation services in target provinces, which contributes to the improved quality of life for persons with disabilities. [Inclusion project]
