On October 1, USAID received an appreciation award from Vietnam's Minister of Planning and Investment, recognizing its contributions to the country’s innovation and economic growth. The award, received during an event attended by the Prime Minister and key leaders, underscores USAID's role in Vietnam’s sustainable development. USAID collaborated with the Vietnam National Innovation Center (NIC) on digital upskilling initiatives, aligning private sector needs with higher education programs. Currently, USAID and NIC are developing a new technical assistance activity, Vietnam Innovation Ecosystem, focused on improving the business environment, enhancing NIC’s capabilities, and fostering growth-oriented businesses, in line with Vietnam’s Fourth Industrial Revolution Strategy.

USAID’s ongoing efforts support Vietnam's ambition to become an upper-middle-income country by 2030 and a high-income country by 2045. [Workforce for an Innovation and Start-up Ecosystem]
