Project Kirana aimed to expand Indian women’s economic empowerment through increasing revenue streams, promoting financial inclusion, and driving the adoption of digital payments among women-owned or operated small, family-owned shops selling groceries and other sundries (known in India as Kirana shops). Developed through a partnership between USAID and Mastercard, and implemented by DAI's Digital Frontiers and ACCESS Development Services, Project Kirana focused on empowering women micro-entrepreneurs. This Replication Guide provides an overview of Project Kirana for Women, and what an organization or team should consider if they were to replicate it.
