THE KENYA PRIMARY LITERACY PROGRAM

Effective education systems benefit individuals and society. A key measure of systemic efficiency is how well children read after three years of schooling. USAID’s investment in education has yielded significant improvement in literacy for learners nationwide. The Kenya Primary Literacy Program (KPLP) builds upon this accomplishment while addressing persistent literacy learning gaps in the early grades. In partnership with the Government of Kenya, KPLP ensures Kenya’s education system demonstrates sustained progress in student learning outcomes and wellbeing.
