Today, Administrator Samantha Power spoke with Andrew Mitchell, the newly appointed Minister of State for Development in the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, United Kingdom (UK).
Administrator Power congratulated Minister Mitchell on his appointment and heard from the Minister about the new government’s approach to development efforts. The Administrator noted her appreciation for the UK’s development and humanitarian work and discussed opportunities to strengthen collaboration with USAID. They also discussed joint priorities, including supporting Ukraine and responding to food insecurity in the Horn of Africa.
