On Wednesday, September 25, Administrator Samantha Power, in partnership with the Ford Foundation, will host a convening on “Democracy Delivers” on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City. 

Administrator Power will welcome heads of state and delegation leaders, including from Armenia, Guatemala, and Moldova, as well as bilateral donor partners including Canada, Denmark, Estonia, the European Union, Finland, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. The U.S. government, bilateral donors, and foundations will announce new commitments to strengthen democratic openings globally. The event will demonstrate the collective power of a multi-stakeholder community of action committed to democratic renewal and resilience around the world.
