The United States, through USAID, announced a $11.6 million commitment towards migrant reintegration in Honduras. Through this latest investment, USAID reaffirms its commitment to ensuring safe, orderly and humane migration.
Working with the U.S. Congress, USAID will provide assistance to help returnees and internally displaced people to re-establish their lives in Honduras through expanded access to community services. Services will include education, employment, and livelihoods and psycho-social support.
USAID will work with the national government of Honduras, local government officials, and nongovernmental organizations to improve policies and procedures to deliver services in an efficient and inclusive manner. USAID will also promote reintegration through community outreach projects.
