Marie Ahmed serves as a Program Officer in the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business (OSDBU). She joined the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in 2009, most recently serving in USAID’s Regional Development Mission Asia (RDMA) as the Director for the Office of Public Health, where she spearheaded trilateral health cooperation. She previously served as the Health Office Director in USAID/Côte d’Ivoire where she oversaw the expansion and integration of USAID’s support to the people of Côte d’Ivoire in the health sector. Ms. Ahmed also served in Rwanda as USAID Health Office Director. There, she guided the development of two main projects within the Health Development Objective, valued at $500 million over five years. Prior to this, Ms. Ahmed served in USAID/Nepal where she had the opportunity to work closely with the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Peace Corps, resulting in the return of the Peace Corps to Nepal.
