Myra Emata-Stokes serves as the Director of the Management Bureau's Office of Management Services and the Agency's Senior Real Property Officer. She is responsible for the efficient and economical use of the Agency's over one million rentable square feet of domestic property and over 1,450 overseas properties in 99 countries of real property capital assets. She oversees the development and implementation of the Agency's strategic approach to capital planning and operational readiness in response to crises, and strengthening the cadre of Executive Office management professionals. This is a worldwide network of approximately 1,000 foreign service and local staff that provide the human capital and operational support for implementing the Agency's foreign assistance portfolio.
A career Foreign Service Officer, Myra began her diplomatic career in 2005 and has led teams in Kazakhstan as part of the Central Asia Regional Mission as the Regional Strategy and Program Office Director, as well as at USAID Missions inNicaragua, the Philippines and Pacific Islands, and Pakistan. In Washington, her assignments have included the Resilience and Food Security Bureau, the Policy Planning and Learning Bureau and Bureau for Europe and Eurasia. She was also a Peace Corps Volunteer in Estonia. She received her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from San Jose State University and her Master's in Public Administration from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey.
