Cybill Sigler is the Acting Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Bureau for the Middle East with responsibility for Algeria, Libya, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Yemen, and Middle East Regional Platform portfolios. Ms. Sigler served as the Middle East Bureau’s Director for the Office of North Africa and Arabian Affairs since December 2021. She has extensive overseas service in Middle East posts, including Jordan, Lebanon, West Bank and Gaza, and Yemen. Ms. Sigler started her USAID Foreign Service career in 2004 as a Private Enterprise Officer. Prior to joining USAID, she managed export promotion programs for Africa and the Middle East at the U.S. Trade and Development Agency.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Amherst College and a Master's degree from Harvard University.
