Jessica Jennings is the Deputy Assistant Administrator for Public Affairs and the Chief Communications Officer for the U.S. Agency for International Development. In her nearly two decades working in communications, she has developed strategic campaigns and handled high-stakes crisis response in the government and education sectors, as well as for non-profits and political organizations.
Her previous positions include Spokesperson and Press Director for USAID, Head of Media Logistics for the Biden-Harris Presidential Inauguration Committee and 2020 Democratic National Convention, Press Secretary at the British Embassy in Washington D.C., and North Carolina Trips Director for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign. She has also held senior communications positions for the University of Maryland, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and DC Public Schools.
