Oghale Oddo is the USAID Mission Director to Mali. He is a career member of the U.S. Senior Foreign Service. Before Mali, he was Deputy Mission Director in USAID/Haiti. Prior to that assignment, he served as the USAID Principal Officer and Acting Deputy Mission Director in the U.S. Consulate in Karachi, Pakistan. He was a Program Officer in Yemen, Afghanistan, the Bureau for Policy, Planning, and Learning/Washington, Malawi, and Iraq and did long-term detail assignments in Liberia for the Ebola Response and El Salvador with Alliance for Prosperity. Mr. Oddo also served as the USAID Representative to Wasit Province in Iraq.
Before joining USAID, Mr. Oddo was the Peace Corps Country Director to Fiji and Tuvalu, and Deputy Country Director in Eswatini and Jordan. He was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Jamaica. His private sector experience includes work in both investment and commercial banking. Mr. Oddo holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Comparative Development from Indiana University. Lexington, Kentucky, is his home.
