Samir Goswami is a Deputy Assistant Administrator in the Bureau for Management. Mr. Goswami brings extensive international experience in development, human rights, and modernizing technology approaches and has consulted with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the International Labour Organization, United Way Worldwide, Humanity United and global entities. Prior to joining USAID, Mr. Goswami was a consultant with Nickol Global Solutions where he conducted an assessment of USAID’s labor portfolio.
As the Chief Operating Officer at the Partnership for Artificial Intelligence, his most recent role, he developed board-approved Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging policy, negotiated and developed Intellectual Property Rights policy, oversaw the organization’s financial, people, and operations strategy, and determined recruitment goals that strengthened diverse recruiting and hiring practices. He has extensive experience in the nonprofit and private sectors having worked at LexisNexis and Amnesty International USA. Mr. Goswami's work implementing measures to prevent labor exploitation through corporate accountability and by teaching courses on corporate social responsibility at Rutgers University, accentuates his deep commitment to improving humanitarian practices around the world. Originally from India, Mr. Goswami became a citizen of the United States in 2015. He went to Beloit College in Wisconsin and is an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers.
