Veena Reddy serves as the Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Local, Faith, and Transformative Partnerships Hub as well as the Innovation, Technology, and Research Hub.
Ms. Reddy is a career member of the Senior Foreign Service. Prior to IPI, she served as the USAID Mission Director in New Delhi, overseeing USAID’s programs and operations in India and Bhutan, including health, food security, water and sanitation, forestry, energy, and education initiatives.
Ms. Reddy brings with her a rich background in development and diplomacy. Ms. Reddy has served as USAID’s Deputy and also Mission Director in Cambodia, where she oversaw robust programs spanning food security, environment, health, education, child protection, and democracy and governance. Previously, Ms. Reddy worked as USAID’s Deputy Mission Director in Haiti.
Prior to Haiti, Ms. Reddy served in Washington, D.C. as an Assistant General Counsel, covering legal matters for USAID's programs in Asia, the Middle East, and Afghanistan and Pakistan. With broad international experience, Ms. Reddy also served at USAID missions in Pakistan and in regional roles in Central Asia and Central America.
Before embarking on a career of federal government service, Ms. Reddy was a corporate attorney in New York, London, and Los Angeles. Ms. Reddy holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Columbia University School of Law and an M.A. and B.A. from the University of Chicago.
