Vietnam is a high-burden tuberculosis (TB) country and rapid diagnostics services for TB remain limited at the district level. To help address the issue, USAID supports Vietnam’s National Tuberculosis Program to develop a National Operational Plan for Vietnam’s TB Diagnostic Network for the period 2024-2026. This plan will identify current technical and financial gaps in TB diagnostics and advocate for further support to strengthen the Tuberculosis Diagnostic Network, bringing rapid diagnostic capacity to remote and underserved communities.
An enhanced National Tuberculosis Diagnostic Network will contribute significantly to the Government of Vietnam’s goal of increasing TB detection and eradicating TB in Vietnam by 2035. [USAID Support to End Tuberculosis project]
