On December 24, USAID’s Workforce for an Innovative and Start-up Ecosystem activity, in collaboration with the BK Academy, a Vietnamese science and technology educational institution, held a virtual networking event for USAID-supported graduates of the Cisco Certified Academy Instructor (CCAI) course, a course to meet Cisco's quality standards for technical skills and technical instruction. The event celebrated the graduates' completion of the course, their subsequent training of others, and enabled them to join a community of their peers.
This is part of a partnership between USAID and Vietnam’s Ministry of Planning and Investment to expand the specialized skills segment of Vietnam’s labor market, improving the upward mobility and competitiveness of the country’s workforce. Since graduating from the CCAI course, these professionals have trained 1000 college students on information technology and digital economics. This event broadened their professional networks and expanded their access to additional resources.
