Agricultural SMEs in Vietnam often face constraints in accessing finance which limits their sustainable growth. USAID is partnering with the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) to develop new tailored loan products for agricultural SMEs. Additionally, USAID will train Agribank credit officers on agriculture lending models and build the reporting and operating capacities of SMEs to improve their borrowing eligibility.

Expanding finance opportunities for SMEs in the agriculture sector will contribute to sustainable agricultural development and foster broad-based economic growth in Vietnam.
