USAID Promotes Access to Essential Health Services in Vietnam. In An Giang province, Vietnam, students have limited access to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health education and services. On October 15, USAID, in partnership with Durex, the Tri Ton District Health Center, YouMe Social Enterprise, and the An Giang LGBTQI+ network, hosted an event as part of the Unitour campaign at An Giang Ethnic Minority Boarding Vocational High School. Over 150 students attended the event which featured booths on HIV prevention methods like pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and included interactive sessions covering essential sexual health information.
Launched in 2022, the Unitour campaign is a collaborative initiative between the government of Vietnam, Glink, and USAID to raise awareness about sexual health and rights among university students to promote access to essential health services in Vietnam.
