From September 5-6, USAID supported a learning visit to successful Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) models in Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai to improve PrEP service delivery in Global Fund-supported provinces. The visit included 35 representatives from provincial health departments, CDCs, and PrEP clinics across four provinces, who gained insights into diverse PrEP service models at commune health stations, private clinics, and mobile units.
By observing established clinics, participants learned first hand effective strategies for client recruitment, engagement, and adherence. This knowledge-sharing visit is expected to enhance PrEP services and HIV prevention in other regions. [Support for Technical Excellence and Private Sector Sustainability in Vietnam]
