USAID’s commitment to advancing data science and infrastructure leads to smarter decision-making and improved programming, resulting in the efficiency and optimization of HIV programs and better health outcomes for people affected by HIV.

USAID supports the strengthening of:

  • Health information systems and infrastructure for the collection and analysis of program and financial data;

  • Implementation of processes and protocols to evaluate and strengthen data and program quality; and,

  • The development of innovative and rigorous analytical methods and products.

Data Use and Analytics

 

USAID's investments in data analytics use data to advance development programming to meet the needs of partner countries and ultimately achieve HIV epidemic control.

Digital Health

 

USAID's investments in digital health solutions build human resources for health information that are responsible for the collection, aggregation, and use of routine health and HIV data.

 

A health care provider and an ARV patient herself, receives patients daily who are on three or six months of ARV treatment procured and delivered by GHSC-PSM. She provides them with counseling on how to take the medicines and continues to follow up with them to make sure they receive their next batch of medicines every couple of months. / Rodny Darenard for GHSC-PSM
