Research and Development
Product development research lays the scientific foundation for interventions that can help realize the vision of a world free from HIV/AIDS. USAID is at the forefront of HIV research by cultivating strategic partnerships, sharing findings to support programmatic and policy applications, and supporting sustainable capacity building.
Prevention, Care, and Treatment
Advancing the medical and scientific knowledge base for prevention, care, and treatment will bring us closer to controlling the HIV/AIDS epidemic. USAID is proud to support the introduction and expansion of new products and technologies, using both medical and social data to access service implementation, and designing service delivery programs alongside local partners.
Global Health Supply Chain
USAID drives a client-centered supply chain to achieve HIV epidemic control and maximize the availability, quality, and affordability of HIV and other global health commodities. To meet that challenge, USAID operates one of the largest public health supply chains in the world.
Data and Analytics
Our commitment to advance data science and infrastructure leads to smarter decision-making and improved programs at the country level, resulting in efficient and optimized HIV programs and better outcomes for people living with HIV. USAID is proud to support the implementation of processes and protocols to evaluate and strengthen data and program quality.
Reaching Priority Populations
Reaching priority populations helps improve access to comprehensive HIV services, including HIV prevention, testing, care, and treatment and addressing social, structural, and behavioral drivers for these populations, including those s who are most vulnerable to HIV infection.
Sustainability of the HIV Response
USAID’s work in systems and program sustainability provides support in the development and implementation of best practices to build and strengthen the capacity of local governments and organizations (public, private, and civil society) for improved, locally-led, and more sustainable HIV/AIDS service delivery.
