Objective
Funded by the United States Agency for International Development and implemented by the International Food Policy Research Institute, the Tajikistan Evaluation and Analysis Activity (TEAA) brings together a broad array of stakeholders to conduct collaborative, evidence-based research and strengthen analytical capacity of local partners, with the ultimate objective to raise incomes of the rural poor and improve food and nutrition security in Tajikistan.
Partners
The Feed the Future Tajikistan Evaluation and Analysis Activity will work in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Academy of Agriculture Science and the Center for Sociological Research “Zerkalo.”
Anticipated Results
- 8 policy research and best practice papers generated and co-authored by partners.
- 8 peer-reviewed publications resulting from USG support to research and implementation programs.
- 5 new data sets informing food security and agri-food policies available for public use.
- 100 policymakers, policy analysts, civil society organizations, think tanks, and other policy and research actors participated in learning forums where research findings/best practices are presented.
- 6 policy and regulatory recommendations formally proposed, adopted, or implemented as supported by USG assistance.
- 50% of participants of TEAA capacity strengthening and outreach activities are women.
- 2 milestones in improved institutional architecture for food security policy achieved.
