On May 29, 34 health care professionals representing the four provinces of Quang Tri, Thua Thien - Hue, Quang Nam, and Kon Tum completed a USAID-supported physical therapy training. This is the third batch who have completed the nine-month long training as part of a collaboration between USAID and Danang University for Medical Technologies and Pharmacy to improve rehabilitation services for patients and persons with disabilities in Vietnam. In total, 75 health care professionals have benefited from this training program.

USAID’s support to expand Vietnam’s workforce of skilled rehabilitation practitioners contributes to improved quality of life for persons with disabilities and addresses one aspect of the legacies of war.
