On July 26, USAID and Hai Duong Medical Technical University celebrated the closing of a nine-month training course on basic occupational therapy in rehabilitation. The 1,500-hour hybrid course provided 61 medical workers with essential technical skills and hands-on clinical practice in occupational therapy techniques.
USAID’s support of rehabilitation training addresses the shortage of qualified practitioners at district-level clinics, which are the most accessible and affordable facilities for the majority of persons with disabilities in the provinces of Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, and Kon Tum.
