Forty-four leaders took part in the Innovation Challenge in Namibia in July showcasing their innovative projects focused on challenges related to waste management, climate change, technology and gamification, disability, health awareness, and much more.
At the award ceremony, all leaders were honored with certificates for successfully completing the challenge and presenting their projects to the judges. Furthermore, six leaders were nominated for additional awards:
People’s choice/Investors choice award - Mamahlape Matsoso, Lesotho and Christiane Miguel, Angola
Most Improved - Andrew Tshililo, South Africa
Most Innovative Pitch - Nonhlanhla Mhlongo, South Africa
Best Pitch - Lebogang Mashego, South Africa
Potential for Impact - Senate Nkuebe, Lesotho
The YALI RLC for Southern Africa hosted previous innovation challenges in Madagascar and Zambia earlier this year.
