Three YALI entrepreneurs from the Regional Leadership Center West Africa (Dakar) recently presented their businesses to Prosper Africa and the Digital Transformation for Africa (DTA), marking the start of the first YALI pitch series. The objective of the pitch series is to foster connections between YALI alumni and the various USAID interagency programs to ensure that YALI businesses are considered in discussions with potential investors. If successful, this series will provide ongoing visibility, brand awareness and economic opportunities for YALI business and entrepreneurial alumni. The first three YALI alumni businesses included:

  1. Jus Buguni (Mali) - founded by Moussa Doumbia, Jus Buguni specializes in producing delicious, fruit-sourced juices renowned for aiding digestive health. With a dedicated and growing team of 20 employees, Jus Buguni juices are conveniently available through vending machines located throughout Moribabougou (a town just east of Bamako). 

  2. Licy Express (Côte d'Ivoire) , Founded by Cynthia Boy, Licy Express has been providing reliable logistics services to entrepreneurs since 2018. With a fleet of 60 motorcycles and vehicles, expanding to 200, their mission is to facilitate faster connections between online sellers and customers. The Licy Express app, available on Playstore, enables real-time delivery tracking for professionals.  

  3. Agri-Innov (Senegal), founded by Abdoul Kader Issoufou from Niger. Agri-Innov is a dynamic company led by young local entrepreneurs. Agri-Innov specializes in producing goods and services while empowering women and young entrepreneurs through training and support. Their mission is to help them overcome significant challenges in business execution and management, restricted access to financing, and difficulties in marketing their products.
