YALI RLC West Africa - Dakar visits Côte d'Ivoire

In June, the YALI West Africa Dakar Regional Coordinator and three team members of YALI RLC Dakar visited the YALI alumni chapter, the U.S Embassy and potential new partners in Côte d'Ivoire. The team met with the National Democracy Institute in Cote d'Ivoire and discussed how YALI alumni can be observers in the upcoming legislative elections. The team also met with the chair of “UNESCO, Anticipation, Prospective et Territoire durables" in Abidjan to identify how the YALI alumni chapter can engage with the UNESCO’s youth engagement program. They discussed potentially signing a memorandum of understanding to formalize a relationship between the alumni chapter and UNESCO to support YALI recruitment and post-training activities in Abidjan.
