USAID’s commitment to engage and contract with American small businesses has been recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The SBA awarded USAID an “A” rating on the federal government’s annual Small Business Procurement Scorecard for the 2023 fiscal year. As an Agency, USAID has consistently exceeded its annual prime small business goals for more than ten consecutive years.
USAID exceeded its prime contract dollar goal of 13.25 percent by awarding 14.71 percent to U.S. small businesses, which equates to approximately $990 million dollars. This milestone is a significant accomplishment toward USAID’s continued efforts to partner and collaborate with U.S. small businesses in support of our development and global mission worldwide.
Across the federal government, the Biden-Harris Administration exceeded its FY23 small business contracting goal of 23 percent, awarding an all-time high 28.4 percent of federal contract dollars to small businesses. To view USAID’s FY 2023 Procurement Scorecard and other details click here
