USAID works with major partners, as well as local African private sector companies and non-governmental organizations to support both the Mandela Washington Fellowship and the Regional Leadership Centers.

Private sector contributions enhance the ability of the RLCs to provide participants with market‐relevant learning opportunities, entrepreneurship support, and access to technology.

By collaborating with a wide range of organizations, YALI provides young leaders with transformative experiences that build off the catalytic training while enhancing their skill sets, driving professional development and enabling them to build strong, supportive networks.

YALI partners with a diverse array of organizations in the following areas:

• Core Programming: To ensure a diverse set of emerging young leaders is  equipped with skills, opportunities, and networks needed to reach their leadership potential

• Alumni Engagement: To develop the YALI alumni community, fostering collaboration and continuing  professional and personal growth, and contributing to a strong, cohesive network that fosters the momentum of the YALI movement

• Governance, Management and Operations: To strengthen the operations and management systems of YALI in order to provide world class experiences for participants and alumni

• Financial Stability: To diversify, expand, and stabilize funding for YALI to continue convening and catalyzing young leaders well into the future
